Messaggio del P. Procuratore Generale

A tutta la Famiglia Oratoriana

Carissimi Confratelli,

To The whole Oratorian Family

Dear Confreres,

When His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI announced to the Church His decision to resign from the Supreme Pontificate, on behalf of all of you, as a representative of all the Oratorian Congregations before the Apostolic See, I feel the duty and the need from the heart to express to our beloved Holy Father thanks for His valuable service.

With this gesture of loyalty to Christ and the mission entrusted to Him by the Lord, the Pope continues to teach us that above all else there is love for Christ and for the Church, and that this love is worth more than anything else.

The Oratory of St. Philip Neri welcomes this great lesson of the Magisterium of Pope Benedict and thanks the Lord for having given the church a bright example of a tireless Pastor, enlightened and brave, which, even in these circumstance, shows “the humble laborer in the vineyard of the Lord” that He always was.

Dear Holy Father, St. Philip’s sons, bowing to kiss the ring of the fisherman, say thank you and beg for your Apostolic Blessing!
